How to get there

All roads lead to HVAR!

First of all the most important thing for you to know: It doesn't matter wheater you prefer travelling by car, train or plane, in all cases you will need a ferry to get from Split to the Island of Hvar. So what we want to do at first is to give some useful information about all the ferry-connections from the mainland-coast to the island.

Ferry-Connections

All together there are 3 adviseable possibilies to get to Hvar with the Croatian ferry line

www.Jadrolinija.hr

1.
Split - Stari Grad

This ferry is a so called "local line", what means, that booking is not necessary. On arriving at Split you can go to the counter on the opposite side of the ferry and check your ticket. The ferry goes 3 to 5 times a day and the transfer takes you about 2 hours.

2. Drvenik - Sucuraj

Also a "local line", no necessary booking in advance

3. Dubrovnik - Stari Grad

This is a so called "fast coastal international line", what means, that you have to book your cabin in advance. Please find the actual time table again on www.jadrolinija.hr. The transfer takes you about 6 hours!
